Project Peace has planned another Day of Service for Saturday, October 26, 9 am - noon when we can serve our community. The Day of Service connects East Bay faith-based groups and community members with schools and non-profits to help with their needs. Pastor Cheryl and a few young families will be volunteering at Franklin Elementary, however they have sufficient volunteers. There are other organizations that still need volunteers. I'll be volunteering at Harbor House if anyone wants to join me. Volunteers will help with gardening, sorting and cleaning.

The next opportunity to serve at Project Peace is March 29, 2025, so if you've been thinking about serving this year, October 26 is it.

Important Reminders

1) This event is free, but sites have limited volunteer spots. Please register in advance so that you (and your friends) can be sure to serve at the site that most interests you.

2) Children need to be registered (except Littles under 5). Please check posted age requirements. There will be no childcare, but supervised children are welcome at most sites unless posted otherwise.

3) All volunteers are reminded to follow any health & safety protocols that your site requires, since they serve vulnerable communities. Be prepared to wear a mask just in case.
